EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA!! Monday April 9th 1-3pm. Egg hunt, games,
prizes, face painting and more! Come to Camp Alexandra for our annual
Easter carnival for children organized and led by our Leadership
students. By donation. Everyone welcome!
BANNER HUNT INTENSIFIES!
Yet another Alexandra Festival is fast-approaching and we’re
still looking for banners to act as stage backdrops. If you have
connections with any city that uses seasonal or event banners, that
would be willing to donate them to a good cause when they are taken
down, we would very much like to have a new set on the stage next
month And the same goes for all the flagging that flies above the
grounds during the Festival – this year will probably be it’s last!
If you can help with either, we’d appreciate it very much!
VINE AVE DROP-IN YOUTH CLINIC
CBCS’s Child, Youth & Family Centre is working with the Ministry
of Children and Family Development, Fraser Health, and other service
providers on the development of a drop in youth clinic. While the
clinic will operate independently of CBCS’s youth & family programs
we will be providing support to the drop in by developing programming
around the topic of Wellness. Youth workers will be available to work
1-1 and in small groups with youth interested in enhancing skills
around Anger Management, Stress Management, Physical and Emotional
Wellness, Addiction Management and Pregnant & Parenting Teens.
Skilled child & youth workers, and/or volunteers will facilitate
workshops, and/or support the drop in by using the common area as a
resource room, providing enhanced 1-1 support to youth during drop in
hours. We are currently looking for skilled volunteers who would be
interested in supporting the Youth Clinic, and volunteering on a
regular basis. Please contact Jo-Ann Morrison at 604-538-5060 ext. 21.
